Besides
runnning our own 5 labels, we manage 5 other very interesting
labels, namely Outside The Box, Epsilon Trax, Mynt Music,
Progrezo Records and Maktub Music.

GrooveCollection Music
Maybe not as a
surprise for those who've been a regular at the Messageboard of
GrooveCollection but it's official now. As from now
Groovecollection Music (GCM) will be spreading it's wings and
we've united severall labels into one music management. So far 6
record labels will be handled but as it looks this will be
expanded soon with some surprising names to come on board. At
the moment Groovecollection Music will handle the next labels:
GrooveCollection Originals, Black and Red, Deep records,
Focus
and last but not least Eelke Kleijn's outprint Outside the
Box Music. GCM will be merely responsible for handling and
promotion of the labels, besides that we aim for a diverse sound
that is based on quality and a forward thinking attitude that
will enable us to spread the name of the labels and it's artists
even more. GCM will merely focus on quality House, Progressive,
Techno and more experimental stuff. A breeding ground for
established and up and coming producers is what both Jerry van
Schie and Peter van Hal aim for, providing them a solid platform
to push their music and spread their names, doing this by
dealing with the best digital platform's out there as the best
possible deals have been secured with them.
Original ideas and concepts tend to grow and develop. What
started out as an internet site with an stimulating and
interesting forum is going to the next level. This month sees
the Groovecollection crew launch not one but three labels:
Groovecollection Black, Groovecollection Red and
Groovecollection Originals.
The Black label will push the progressive and house sounds while
the Red one will focus on electro, hip hop and vocal music.
Groovecollection Originals will be purely original artist music,
with no remixes but full EP's instead, giving the artist chance
to show real diversity.
Label owners Peter van Hal (ex-Extrema) and Jerry van Schie have
both been a integral part of the Dutch dance scene for many
years. 365Mag spoke exclusivly to label boss Jerry van Schie who
said of the new venture "This is something I wanted to do for a
long time after being in the music scene for over 15 years as a
DJ, forum owner and clubber. With Peter's experience coupled
with my love for the music this project is in the right hands."
The debut Groovecollection Red was a Muzikjunki track entitled
Dem Try. The followup release is by Muzikjunki & Myu Myu feat.
Marty Lee. It is an electro stormer entitled Break Me Shake Me
and is enjoying Dutch radio play as we speak, with 538's Dance
Department and 3FM's LOS giving it good support.
The first track on the completely digital label Groovecollection
Black is from Medway & Sven Hauck with a release entitled
Heliopause. The package enjoyed a full release just last week
after getting plays from many of the top jocks on promo, spurred
on by remixes from Kosmas Epsilon and Add2basket. The Kosmas
Epsilon remix is finding favour with John Digweed currently.
The next track on the label is Kosmas Epsilon with the
much-talked about Paranoid. The label has high hopes for the
track, which has already been featured on the double CD
Addictive Volume 1, mixed by Luke Chable and Kosmas Epsilon. The
package also contains an Eelke Kleijn Remix which is enjoying
plays on John Digweed's Kiss100 Transitions show, and will also
feature on Hernan Cattaneo's new Renaissance CD in
April/May
The likes of Oliver Moldan, Yvel & Tristan, Pinkbox Special,
Nils Noa, Fine Taste, Nick K are all pencilled in for future
releases. It's looking as if Holland's newest label is bringing
in the talent in time for the summer, and with key support from
the likes of John Digweed and company, expect the imprint's
profile to rise.
Groovecollection's members are a social bunch too, gathering for
a monthly shindig in the heart of Amsterdam for a get together,
giving the best in local talent the chance to shine and develop
in venues such as TWSTD and Panama.
